3 Ways to Grow X/Twitter Account Organically in 2024!
Boosting followers on your X account (formerly Twitter) can be quite the challenge, especially when you’re aiming for genuine, involved folks who’ll actually engage with your posts and find your content interesting.
I’m excited to spill the beans on a method that’s been my go-to for growing X accounts. It’s a mix of a few different strategies: the Mother-Child approach, Follow/Unfollow, and good old content marketing.

Once I had my list, I dove into each of these accounts, checking out their latest tweets. Then, I hit that follow button for everyone who liked those tweets.

Once you click on “view quotes,” you’ll be greeted with a list of people who engaged with the tweet, leaving comments or likes. However, for our purposes, we’ll focus solely on those who hit the like button on the tweet.
Now, go ahead and hit that follow button for all those individuals. Just a friendly reminder, I’m using these screenshots for demonstration purposes, so remember to choose competitors aligned with your niche.
On Twitter, you have the freedom to follow up to 400 people per day without any restrictions. However, if your account is fresh, I’d suggest starting gradually with a smaller number of follows, say between 100 to 150, just to err on the side of caution.
Even if your account is seasoned, I’d still advise against maxing out the daily limit; it’s best to keep it under 300 follows per day.
Let’s get down to brass tacks and discuss the real numbers. If you’re following around 100 people per day on average, it’ll take approximately a week before you start witnessing the full effects. Sometimes, depending on your niche audience on X, it might take a bit longer for the magic to happen.
But here’s the exciting part: within a week, you’ll begin to witness the positive impact as your follower count starts to climb.

We’re talking about boosting engagement on your tweets! Once those follow-backs start rolling in after a week, you’ll notice a significant uptick in engagement on your tweets — likes, comments, reposts, link clicks — you name it! It’s one of the most rewarding aspects of this growth strategy.
And after a few weeks, you’ll be well on your way to expanding your account with the right audience. Whether it’s for your business or personal endeavors, this method is a game-changer in the long run.
